WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANCE OF CLOUD COMPUTING-

The importance of cloud computing in this current era is one of the essential tools for solving data storage. Cloud computing was invented by J.C.R. Licklider in 1960 with the aim of connecting people with data anywhere in the world.

TRADITIONAL WAY OF STORING DATA-

At the start of the technological era, storing data was of utmost importance. We needed a data storage process to compute any files or documents in computers. At the expense of that, we got a hard disk drive or solid-state drive. This hardware storage would store enough storage to use.

ISSUES REGARDING SECURITY-

There was always an issue regarding its usage. Hacking was a major problem in the computing world. Anybody could easily hack into the system and collect data without even knowing it is being stolen. It makes really hard to trace and track its location from where it was stolen from.

PROBLEMS REGARDING DATA TRANSFER-

Moreover, it is not even easy to transfer data from one computer to another without certain devices required to do it. Such as floppy disks, CDs, or Pendrive. Gmail somehow works at a very low level to accomplish that goal. This was not as compatible as we wanted to secure or transfer data without any hindrance.

This is a more compatible and more efficient way to secure or easy way to transfer files. Cloud computing is a new way to do that. The importance of cloud computing is mostly effective on the internet as we do not need any devices or tech to do that. It is a software-based storage system where you can store any kind of file such as videos, documents, images, etc.

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION TO DATA STORAGE-

This system helps different users to store their data in the cloud instead of storing it in devices. It is easier to share it with people through the internet wherever they are. Cloud computing software such as Google Drive and One Drive on the same principle of cloud computing systems to store data online.

In Google Drive, you could store file attachments and share them with someone else without even needing any device to do that. Due to this many companies nowadays work on different types of cloud computing systems to enhance their work structure. This system consumes less effort of storing into a device and then giving it to someone to share it.

EXTERNAL DEVICES AND THEIR LIMITS-

When we talk about security issues, we often face external devices and their limits. If we take a device such as a pen drive, it always gets corrupted with viruses and due to this, it is very hard to use on different computers to plug in because it also corrupts those computers.

Let us use any device like CDs or floppy disks, they somehow in the current scenario fall into the lowest position of traditional technologies. Our entire life is moving very fast, and we as human beings always look for faster and more reliable processes to accomplish results without wasting a lot of time or effort.

NEGATIVE ASPECTS OF CLOUD COMPUTING-

However, there are some negative issues as well regarding the usage of cloud computing technology. Leakage of data, loss, theft, account or service hijacking, and technology vulnerabilities are some of the negative aspects of this system in terms of security issues. Limited control and flexibility are also the main issues of vulnerability to attacks.
